In August I did a search on cloth diapers and was introduced to a whole new diapering world. It probably took me two weeks to decide on the type of diaper I was going to experiment with first. You can find one-size diapers (pictured), pocket diapers, contour diapers, fitted diapers, prefold diapers, nighttime diapers, AIO (all in one) diapers, flat diapers (a.k.a. the type of diaper my mom used in the 70's), newborn diapers, swim diapers, and training diapers, just to mention a few. The diapers come in cotton, wool, hemp, and bamboo fabrics, organic or not, with snaps or Velcro. Then you decide on a diaper cover which is required for most of diapers to keep the mess confined.
I settled on unbleached Chinese prefold diapers, a couple fitted diapers, and a couple diaper covers. I chose the prefolds because they were cheaper and had good reviews. I bought the fitted diapers just for fear that I wouldn’t like the prefolds. The day they arrived I was so excited. I have been slow to use them because of the chain of events that happened with our sea shipment arriving and unpacking, sicknesses, Vivi’s birthday party, and trips to visit friends and family. However, I finally began using them this past Monday with Valentina and it’s been awesome.
Thus far I’ve learned that I love using prefold diapers, the fitted diapers work best at night, and I need more diaper covers.
Maybe you should design your own in cute colors/sizes...or make them? Then you could sell them to people and start a Diaper Revolution! :-)

Oh how funny! I kind of think if we have another baby, I'll use the cloth diapers too! And hey, when someone else is doing your laundry, why not?? Good for you!! I'll be calling you for advice when I'm ready!
