Two Shepherds

We went to my parents' church on Sunday evening to see the live nativity. Every Sunday for as long as I can remember the First Friends Church in Grinnell has put on this live nativity that anyone can drive through to see the baby Jesus, Mary, Joesph, angel, wisemen, shepherds, and animals. Last Sunday was the first time our girls saw it. Vivi went outside a couple times and I guess she was more observant than I thought. Last night she put a blanket over her head and said, "Look mama! I'm a pepherd!" Then Valentina saw her and started saying, "Shep, Shep, Shep!" Together they say, Shepherd, very well. So this is a picture from last night. We used a couple of Josh's ties to keep the blankets in place. Luke 2:8-14

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angels, praising God and saying,
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
